Tucker Carlson Reveals Favorite Moment From the US Election 2024

Tucker Carlson recently shared his favorite moment from the 2024 U.S. presidential election, a race already marked by unprecedented events. From two assassination attempts on Donald Trump to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. endorsing him and the Cheney family's support for a Democratic ticket, this election has been far from ordinary.

In a conversation with Megyn Kelly on her podcast, *The Megyn Kelly Show*, Carlson discussed the election and his new documentary, *The Art of the Surge*, which covers the Trump campaign and includes exclusive footage of the election’s most shocking moments. Kelly called the 2024 contest “the most bizarre, compelling, and consequential election in U.S. history.” Carlson, agreeing, pointed to his “personal favorite” moment: the June 27 debate between Trump and President Joe Biden.

Carlson, referencing behind-the-scenes footage from his documentary, revealed how Trump's team reacted in real time as Biden made an extraordinary claim during the debate: that his administration had "beat Medicare." Carlson explained that the reactions of Trump’s team, who were seasoned political professionals, were priceless. They stood stunned, jaws dropped, as Biden appeared to melt down. "These are people who know Biden personally, who have a sense of what’s supposed to happen. But when it does not, it’s a true moment of shock," Carlson said.

The debate, in which Biden struggled to articulate himself and stumbled over words, led to widespread criticism, particularly age-related attacks on the 80-year-old president. These pressures from within his own party ultimately resulted in Biden's withdrawal from the race on July 21.

Kelly added, “We all had the same reaction at home, but seeing Trump’s team backstage, watching it live, is something else.” Carlson emphasized that watching Biden’s performance, "you’d think, ‘Was that the most profound failure ever captured on film?’” He noted the reactions of political figures like Lindsey Graham, Tim Scott, JD Vance, Lara Trump, and Ben Carson, all of whom were visibly stunned.

Both Carlson and Kelly also mentioned Kennedy Jr.’s unexpected endorsement of Trump, as well as the assassination attempts against Trump in July and September, events that no one would have predicted in a typical presidential election.
