Prince William's Body Language With Donald Trump Goes Viral

Prince William displayed what some described as "fanboy" behavior when meeting President-elect Donald Trump in Paris, according to a viral video analyzing their body language. The meeting occurred during the reopening ceremony of Notre Dame Cathedral, which had been meticulously restored following a devastating 2019 fire.

The Prince of Wales attended the event, not only to mark the cathedral’s renaissance but also to promote the U.K.-U.S. "special relationship" ahead of Trump's second presidential term, set to begin in January 2024. Their encounter was captured on video and shared widely online. One post on X (formerly Twitter) garnered significant attention, stating: "Prince William turned into a fanboy as soon as he saw President Donald Trump. The world knows the boss man is back." The clip received 58,000 likes and over 2.5 million views.

In the footage, William is seen waiting patiently to greet Trump inside the cathedral. The two exchanged pleasantries, though their words were inaudible. They later had a private discussion at the British Embassy’s residence in Paris. Trump described their meeting as warm and complimentary, telling the New York Post: "He's a very handsome man. Some people look better in person, and he looked great." Trump also mentioned discussing William's wife, Catherine, and his father, King Charles III, noting the prince’s evident admiration for both. Their meeting reportedly lasted around 30 minutes.

Trump further praised William, saying, "He's a good man," and commended him for "doing a fantastic job." Meanwhile, Karoline Leavitt, spokesperson for the Trump-Vance Transition, emphasized Trump’s positive reception on the global stage, stating: "World leaders are enthusiastic for President Trump’s return, knowing he will restore peace through strength."

In Britain, political tensions surfaced as the U.K.’s Labour Party faced criticism for its involvement with Kamala Harris’s campaign team during the U.S. elections. Eric Trump weighed in, criticizing international interference in American politics: "As a U.S. citizen, it pisses me off."

The cordiality of William and Trump’s meeting suggests a successful diplomatic moment, likely welcomed by both Buckingham Palace and the British government.
