President-elect Donald Trump's newly appointed "border czar," Tom Homan, issued a stern warning to criminal gangs during an interview on Donald Trump Jr.'s Triggered podcast. Homan, who previously led U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during Trump’s first term, will oversee border enforcement in the incoming administration.
Addressing notorious gangs like Tren de Aragua and MS-13, Homan declared, "My gang’s bigger than your gang, and we’re going to take you out, too." He expressed enthusiasm for returning to public service, stating, "I can’t wait to get started. I am excited about coming back, serving this country again."
When asked by Trump Jr. about his overarching message to Americans eager for decisive border action, Homan replied, "I got three words for them: shock and awe. You’re going to see us take this country back."
Homan’s appointment aligns with Trump’s hard-line stance on immigration and border security. His role, created as part of recommendations in the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025, does not require Senate confirmation, potentially shielding him from extensive congressional scrutiny.
While Homan maintains he is "anti-illegal immigration," not anti-immigrant, he addressed criticism during a recent *New York Times* interview. "If they saw what I saw, they’d be anti-illegal immigration, too," he said. "I’m sick of it being a political football. People have called me racist or a white nationalist because I enforce immigration laws. Well, Congress wrote those laws."
Homan also appeared on conservative commentator Tomi Lahren’s YouTube show, warning Democratic leaders of anticipated legal challenges. "They are going to put roadblocks up, I get it. They are going to sue us every day, I get it. But they aren’t going to stop us. If they don’t want to help, then get the hell out of our way because we are going to do the job."
Critics, including immigration advocates, have condemned the administration's plans for mass deportations, arguing the approach could impact non-criminal migrants and separate families, leaving U.S. citizen children behind. These advocates warn that such policies reflect an extreme and uncompromising approach to border security.
Finally! Something is gonna get done! I cannot wait to see the illegals finally get theirs! I would actually pay to see this happen! They have been coming across our borders for YEARS … I live in an area Where there are so many illegals, I’ve watched them drive drunk (I actually had to pull off the side of the road to keep from being hit by one. They drive these huge vans And just imagine that van hitting a small car! I’ve seen them kill Americans with their vans because they were so wasted. I know of a very sad story where a family of five was killed because of a drunk illegal! It broke my heart, So now that family will get justice!
